Hanna Lawyers Wollongong FAQs
What areas of law do you specialise in?
We provide legal services across compensation law, property law, criminal and traffic law, disputes and litigation, succession law and family law including divorce, parenting and property matters.
What is a ‘no win, no fee’ compensation claim?
In most compensation cases, we work on a no win, no fee basis, meaning you don’t pay our legal fees unless your claim is successful.
How do you charge for property law and conveyancing services?
We provide fixed-fee pricing for conveyancing, leases, and other property matters, ensuring transparency with no hidden costs.
What should I do if I’ve been charged with a criminal or traffic offence?
Contact us as soon as possible. We provide legal representation from bail applications to court hearings and work to achieve the best possible outcome.
Can you help with disputes without going to court?
Yes, we aim to resolve legal disputes through negotiation and mediation to avoid the cost and stress of court proceedings whenever possible.
It is my first time buying a home, where do I start?
It is important to reach out to us before you sign the contract of sale as it is a legally binding document. At the time we are giving you advice about your contract we will discuss applicable government grants, pest & building reports and guide you through the process step by step.
Do you draft Wills and handle estate disputes?
Yes, we assist with Wills, testamentary trusts, and estate planning, as well as handling estate disputes and family provision claims.
Can you assist with family law matters like divorce and parenting arrangements?
Absolutely. We provide compassionate legal support for divorce, parenting agreements, financial separations, and other family law matters.
How can I speak to a lawyer?
You can meet with us face-to-face, over the phone, or via Zoom/MS Teams to discuss your legal matter.
What makes Hanna Lawyers different from other firms?
As a small, locally owned law firm, we offer personalised service where clients deal directly with their solicitor. We focus on efficiency, affordability, and real results.
How do I get started with my legal matter?
Simply call us on 02 4228 0084 or use our Contact Us form to arrange a consultation.
Do I need a lawyer or a conveyancer when buying or selling property?
A conveyancer is qualified to manage standard property transactions, including preparing documents, liaising with banks, and completing settlement. A property lawyer, however, can do all of that and provide broader legal advice if complications arise. This includes reviewing complex contracts, advising on legal risks, handling disputes, or dealing with unusual property arrangements.
